Scott Sellars (born 27 November 1965) is an English former professional footballer who played hundreds of appearances across the Football League and Premier League as a winger with Leeds United, Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United, Bolton Wanderers, Huddersfield Town and Mansfield Town. He was a player for England at the U-21 level.
Sellars was hired by Manchester City as Academy coach in October 2009, after previously playing the role of Assistant Manager for Chesterfield within the League Two. The club fired him on April 11, 2014 following an “difference of footballing opinion with the current regime” and concerns over the club’s domestic contingent.
In July 2014, he was appointed as a coach in the club of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.

After beginning his career with Leeds United, Sellars established himself in the Second Division with Blackburn Rovers which he stayed with for six years. After suffering through three play-off defeats, Sellars finally found success during the 1991-92 Play-off Final that earned Rovers advancement to the newly created Premier League. But, it would turn out to be his final game for Rovers when the club he was with would be Leeds which had just been awarded First Division. First Division.

On April 24, 1993, he scored the winning goal for Magpies at their one-goal victory against their Sunderland, their local counterparts Sunderland at the top of the division One on St James’s Park, which resulted in them needing only one point from their final three matches to be assured of promotion.
In March 2019 Sellars applied for, and was appointed to, the post of Head of Academy at Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, succeeding Gareth Prosser in the role.
