He was the host for the Second half of the 2008 Summer Olympics, since the previous host, Ron MacLean’s mother died. He has also worked on coverage for the 1992, 1998, 2002, and 2006 Winter Olympics. He has also periodically worked on Canadian Football League and curling telecasts as a sideline reporter. He hosted CBC Sports Saturday from 2003 until 2005. He also hosted CBC’s coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
