Lee Scott Lingamfelter (born March 27 1951) is a retired American politician and soldier. The former soldier served as an elected Republican participant in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 until 2018, and represented the 31st District in Fauquier as well as Prince William Counties, and was an official candidate to run for 2013’s Republican nominating process for the position of Lieutenant Governor in Virginia. Lingamfelter was defeated in his reelection campaign on the 7th of November in 2017.

In June 2012, he declared his intention to run for the Republican election for Lieutenant Governor in 2013. After being defeated at the convention, Lingamfelter decided to support Pete Snyder.

He was a member of the House Appropriations Committee, (Sub-Committee Chairman of the Capital Outlay Committee of Appropriations), a member of the Education Committee, and Chairman of the Militia, Police and Public Safety Committee. He also served on the Chesapeake Bay Commission. He was also the Co-Chairman of the Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus, a bipartisan group of stakeholders that seeks to promote awareness of issues facing Virginia’s outdoorsmen and sportsmen.

In 1979 The Army granted him an academic scholarship to The University of Virginia (UVa) where he graduated with the title of Master of Arts in Foreign and Governmental Affairs in the year 1981. He was promoted into the ranks of Colonel. His last job within the Army was as a Military Assistant to Director, of Operational Test and Evaluation of the Office of the Secretary of Defense. He graduated from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and The U.S. Armed Forces Staff College as well as the U.S. Army War College in which he was the class president. After 28 years in active service.
