Alan Scott Galbraith (born January 7th 1967) is an ex- American soccer tight-end from the National Football League for the Cleveland Browns, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and Green Bay Packers. As a player of the Cowboys and the Dallas Cowboys, he made the team for the Super Bowl XXVIII winning team that defeated that of the Buffalo Bills. He played football in college in Southern California’s University of Southern California.

The year 1992 was the first time he was absent for the first two games of an agreement holdout, and was assigned an assistant role following they signed free-agent Mark Bavaro. He was released the 31st of August, 1993 following the fact that Brian Kinchen and Clarence Williams were able to pass him on the depth charts.

On July 18, 1997, he was signed as a free agent by the Dallas Cowboys to provide depth as the third-string tight end, after the retirement of Jay Novacek and the release of Kendell Watkins. He wasn’t re-signed after the season.

In 1996, he started only 6 games, after being passed on the depth chart by Jamie Asher and James Jenkins. He was released on June 4, 1997.

On the 11th of November, 1993 He was signed an unrestricted free agent from the Dallas Cowboys to replace injured tight ends Jim Price and Alfredo Roberts. He was employed as tight end blocking, aiding Emmitt Smith to win a third straight rushing championship with 283 carries and 1,486 yards. He also was a part of special teams. He was on his team for the Super Bowl XXVIII championship team.

Galbraith was chosen for his team the Cleveland Browns in the seventh round (178th overall) of the 1990 NFL Draft. In his rookie year Galbraith was 3rd on team, with 10 special team tackles. The following year, he was a regular player (13 plays) with two formations of tight ends.
