Scott Camporeale (born 11 August 1975) is an ex- Australian rules player, who was a part of the team for Carlton as well as Essendon within the Australian Football League, and played as a coach for Adelaide Football Club. Adelaide Football Club in an interim capacity following the passing of the head coach Phil Walsh in 2015.
Camporeale first played for Essendon in Round One, 2006. The Bombers defeated reigning champions Sydney in a 27-point win. This was their sole victory in the first portion of their season. The career of the player was ended when he was struck by an injury to his right knee in the 21st round of 2007. It happened when he switched direction to attack an opponent, resulting in the knee bent and twisting in the wrong direction. He underwent successful ACL surgery on his knee, however at 32, he decided to end his career. He played in 19 games for the Bombers during two seasons.
Following the death of Phil Walsh, Camporeale was appointed interim coach to the end of the 2015 season. Despite coaching the Crows to seven wins from his eleven matches in charge, he chose not to apply for the role full-time, with Don Pyke instead named Walsh’s permanent successor.
In October 2019, following a review into the Crows’ football department, Camporeale departed the club.
In the final week in the season of 2005 Camporeale quit Carlton in pursuit of a to sign a three-year deal at a time when Carlton offered only two years of contract. Carlton attempted to prevent him from having to depart and so Camporeale was nominated for the Pre-season Draft of 2006. Essendon picked Camporeale as the number 4 draft pick in the draft prior to preseason.

The player was originally from the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) club Woodville-West Torrens Eagles. Camporeale was picked by Carlton as draft pick 15 during the 1994 AFL Draft. Camporeale quickly became a top midfielder who ran for Carlton and finished third in 1995’s AFL Rising Star Award behind Nick Holland of Hawthorn. His speed was a key component of the Carlton’s 1995 premiership winning team.
