Satoshi Mitazono is one of the most popular and richest Journalist who was born on February 13, 1958 in Ibusuki, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. Mitazono was born in Ibusuki, Kagoshima in 1958. In 1980 , he graduated from Waseda University with a bachelor’s degree in education. He was hired at TV Asahi as a political journalist.

On December 31, 2015, Mitazono announced his plans to contest the post-July 2016 Kagoshima governorship elections as an independent. At a press event held the building of the Prefectural Government’s building, he said that the gap between the regions is growing and he was determined to change the landscape and revitalize Kagoshima by introducing ideas to increase the power of women. He also expressed his hope that the governor in charge Yuichiro Ito could “pass the baton”, noting that his tenure of twelve years of his tenure was just one chapter. But Ito has already announced his intention to run for an additional four-year term for office during a prefectural assembly meeting in March. Mitazono announced the candidacy on February of 2016 and they was the two only candidates in the race when the election was officially declared in June.
