Collingwood renewed her contract with D’Arcy to play in the season 2018 in the trading period in May 2017. On September 2 D’Arcy was a part of Victoria at the inaugural AFL Women’s State of Origin game, in which she switched between full-forward and higher on the field and scored a banana goal at an angle of acute.

D’Arcy was back on the Collingwood team in round 1 of 2018, but became the subject of controversy when she was cited for striking the Carlton’s Sarah Hosking in the groin. She was then given and accepted a two match ban by the match review system in the AFL. The incident was classified in it as “intentional conduct medium impact to the groin”. The player was the first of or around in the AFLW as well as the AFL to be punished by the newly- established system, which is overseen by the match reviewing officer Michael Christian.

D’Arcy originates from Healesville where she was first introduced to the sport through the home town’s Auskick program. She moved to soccer prior to returning to football for the boys aged under 14 playing at Healesville Football Club. After just two games, she was playing for the Yarra Valley Cougars in the senior women’s division. After four years of being a part of the Cougars, D’Arcy joined the Eastern Devils in the VFLW. In her time with the Eastern Devils, she played for both Melbourne and Western Bulldogs in exhibition matches. Western Bulldogs chose her with selection No. 34 for their 2013, exhibition fixture. In the season of 2016, D’Arcy kicked 30 goals for the Eastern Devils.

She is predicting that she’ll be a formidable player in the Collingwood forward line. D’Arcy was first introduced in the round one in 2017, at the first AFLW game at IKON Park against Carlton, where she scored 14 disposals and was among Collingwood’s top players. She was among the top performers at the club and led players with 39 steals in just three weeks.

Collingwood re-signed D’Arcy for the 2019 season during the trade period in June 2018.
