Sania Nishtar is one of the most popular and richest Pakistani author who was born on February 16, 1963 in Pakistan. Sania Nishtar (Urdu: thnyh NSHTR ) (Born on 16 February 1963) and SI) is a Pakistani doctor, cardiologist, activist, and author. She is currently the Special Assistant on poverty Alleviation and Social Safety to the Prime Minister of Pakistan and has the title of Federal Minister and BISP Chairperson. Prior to that, she was a member of the interim cabinet of the federal government in 2013, which was responsible for public health education, science and health.
Nishtar was chair of her role as chairperson of the World Heart Day campaign in its infancy, and also the “Go Red for Women” campaign in 2004, and also the Expert Panel on Women and Heart Disease from 2007 from 2007 onwards. She was also a an official member of the Ministerial Leadership Initiative for Global Health as well as part of the Working Group on Private Sector in Health Systems created in 2004 by Results for Development and the Rockefeller Foundation.
The program is a 2008, 2012, and 2013 Commitment of the Clinton Global Initiative. She also founded Pakistan’s Health Policy Forum, a civil society policy platform for health experts that has garnered contributions from prominent global health advocates including Seth Berkley, Sir George Alleyne, Mark Dybul, and Naresh Trehan, in addition to many others.

After many years working as a Cardiologist in the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Sania Nishtar founded Heartfile in 1999. Since then, the organization has grown from a healthcare information-focused NGO to become a healthcare policy research institute that focuses on health system issues.

Nishtar was a graduate of Khyber Medical College with her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 1986. She was named the named the Best Graduating Student of the year. The institute was closed down on two sabbaticals, the first time in 1996, to the Guy’s Hospital in London, and then in 1999 to complete the Ph.D in Medicine at the King’s College London, which she was awarded in 2002. She was elected a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2005. In the year 2019, Kings College London awarded her an honorary Doctorate in Science and Honoris Causa.
In 2007, Nishtar founded Heartfile Health Financing, a program to protect poor patients from medical impoverishment.
