Following his departure from Colchester after 171 games for Colchester, Stockley made the move into Paul Lambert’s Wycombe Wanderers of League Two in July of 2006. The 2006-07 season was spent as the team’s primary right-back, and also played in as a sweeper and centre back in the event of tactical changes. He was on the pitch 42 times in the 2006-07 season, scoring six goals in the league, including his final goal London Road in a 3-3 draw against Peterborough United on 31 March. He was forced to move from the right back to Russell Martin in the 2007-08 season, but was also used as a left-back on numerous occasions and played 23 times during the season. He started the season fighting with new signing Adam Yates for a regular place, but was transfer- listed in late September, along with the entire Port Vale squad, after manager Micky Adams saw his team slip to a third consecutive defeat. After twelve appearances in the campaign, the defender shocked Vale fans by announcing his retirement in November 2009, at the age of 32. He was signed on a contract extension with Phil Parkinson’s side following the fact that the club missed only two games of the United’s 60 during the 2003-04 campaign.
