Sam Oliver Slocombe (born 5 June 1988) is an English professional player who is goalkeeper with Notts County. His first club was Bottesford Town in the Northern Counties East Football League. Then, in 2008, Slocombe made the move to his home team Scunthorpe United. Slocombe was an accomplished player of his own for Scunthorpe in his time and became the club’s longest- serving member until he was let go by the club in the year 2015.
On July 6, 2017, following his release from Blackpool, Slocombe signed for Bristol Rovers on a free transfer. Slocombe was one of two keepers who were signed by Rovers on the day, along with Adam Smith joining him. He made his debut during Rovers the third game in the league, which was a 3-2 win away to Bury. On August 21, 2018 Slocombe signed with League Two side Lincoln City for a 7-day emergency loan. The loan agreement was ended by Lincoln on the 9th of January 2019. Slocombe was one of nine players who left Lincoln at conclusion of their contract, at the close of the season of 2018-19.
On the 19th July of 2016 following his departure from Oxford United by mutual consent Slocombe signed a 1-year contract for a one-year contract with League Two club Blackpool. His contract offers the option of an extension for 12 months.

Slocombe is a native of Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire. On the 15th of August 2008, he joined League One side Scunthorpe United from Bottesford Town for PS3,000 and an initial game. He made his debut debut on the 22nd of September, 2009 during the League Cup clash with Port Vale in place of Joe Murphy, following a 25th minute injury to Murphy. He made his debut for the league at the Championship match against Blackpool on November 7, 2009, taking over Michael O’Connor after Murphy was dismissed for intentional handball. On May 5th, 2015 it was revealed that Slocombe was not given a new contract and could leave the club.
Slocombe signed with Oxford United, then in League Two, on a two-year contract on June 12, 2015.
On 1 August 2019, Slocombe signed for National League side Notts County.
