Petrevski-Seton grew up at a cattle ranch close to Fitzroy Crossing, Western Australia and his father was employed as an oxenman. The family relocated from there to Halls Creek when he was three. The family was born and raised in Indigenous Australian, and also is of Macedonian roots in his mom’s lineage. his maternal grandfather emigrated from Macedonia. He grew up with Kriol as his primary language, but did not acquire the standard English until he relocated to Perth to study at Clontarf Aboriginal College, which was where he studied from 2013 to the year 2015. Apart from playing football, Petrevski Seton was a fan of the sport of bull riding, and took it up at age 12 years old.

Petrevski-Seton played in the Halls Creek teams in the junior divisions of the East Kimberley Football Association. When he moved to Perth to attend school, he started training at the Claremont Football Club, whose recruitment zone is located in areas of the Kimberley region. Petrevski-Seton was a four-year participant in WAFL collets (under-18) competition before making his debut at 15. His senior debut was made with Claremont at 17 years old, playing in the early part of the season of 2015. Petrevski-Seton also played for Western Australia at under-16 and under-18 levels. He was selected in the All- Australian squad at this year’s AFL Under 18 Championships.

In 2019, Petreveski-Seton had a break out game against the Western Bulldogs in round 5. Amassing 35 disposals, 9 more than his previous best, as well as kicking an important steadying goal in the 3rd quarter, he was considered by many experts to be best on ground in Carlton’s first win of the 2019 season.
