In 2016 Craigie received an official tour card for two years for the 2017/2018 and 2016/2017 seasons, after he was able to qualify via the EBSA Play-Offs at Sheffield and beating Adam Duffy 4-3 in the final round of the competition. Craigie was able to qualify to play in World Open World Open with a 5-3 victory against 1997’s world champ Ken Doherty and won his first game in the main draw in an event that is ranked with a win over Marco Fu 5-3 in the first round. Craigie was then beaten 5-4 in the second round by Matthew Selt. Craigie hit a century, and two 50+ breaks to beat Jamie Jones 4-0 at the Northern Ireland Open, before John Higgins made a 147 130, 137 and 137 in the second round, a defeat 4-1. Craigie was ahead by 3-1 over Mark King at the interval of their first round match at the UK Championship and that quickly turned into 4-1 after King was penalized one frame for not remembering his cue after the restart of the match. Craigie was able to take the win 6-1, but after the round two, Craigie, she lost 6- 5 to Luca Brecel after leading 5-3. Shaun Murphy knocked Craigie out of the Shoot-Out and also in his second match in the second round of The Gibraltar Open.
In his first season on the snooker circuit, the player was not ranked, and had be able to play four qualifying games for the main draw of ranking tournaments. He took two wins in attempts to make it to his respective tournaments, the Australian Goldfields Open and German Masters as well as achieving the best results when he qualified to play in the China Open, where he defeated Adam Wicheard, Liu Song and Gerard Greene, before losing to Ricky Walden 3-5 in the final round. Craigie was a participant in 12 of the ranking minor Players Tour Championship events throughout the season, with his top performance coming in Event 11 where he was defeated by Walden again and again in the final 16 by four frames to. Craigie ended his debut season in the bottom among the 64 players players who have automatically retained their positions for the 2012/2013 season. He was removed from the main tour.

Craigie was selected for his 2011/2012 Main Tour after winning the 2010 IBSF World Under 21 Championships. He beat Stephen, his twin brother Stephen 7-6 to reach the semi-finals and then beat Li Hang 9-8 in the final to claim the title.
Craigie took part in two events during the 2012/2013 season, but he could only win one frame.
