The 18th of July in 2014 was the day that Gassama was signed on the 18th of July 2014 by SD Huesca, also in the third division. He played in 19 games and scored a goal in his debut season when his team returned to the Segunda Division after a two-year absence.
Gassama was back with the Aragonese team in the summer of 2011 and was assigned to the reserve team of Segunda Division B. The 1st of September, 2013, Gassama joined league side CD Sarinena, after suffering an earlier relegation.

Gassama began his career at his the home team Gambia Ports Authority F.C. However, he moved towards Spain in 2009 and signed an agreement in the Spanish club Real Zaragoza after impressing on an initial trial. The player was then assigned by Tercera Division club RSD Santa Isabel during the season 2010-11.
He was invited to join the Gambia national team after a long and successful time playing under-20’s. His international debut was on June 2, 2012 against Morocco. The first time he scored a goal was on 15th of June, in the match against Algeria.
