On November 19, 2018, LaMarre signed a minor league deal with the Atlanta Braves with an invitation to spring training. LaMarre spent most of 2019 with the Braves’ AAA affiliate the Gwinnett Stripers where he played in 112 games batting .311 with 9 HR and 53 RBI.

LaMarre signed a minor-league contract with the Boston Red Sox in December 2015. He was promoted to the major leagues by the Triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox on June 18, 2016. LaMarre pitched the ninth inning of the Red Sox’s loss to the Los Angeles Angels 21-2 on July 2. LaMarre was the only relief pitcher to not give up any runs. He gave up two hits and no runs. After Aaron Hill was traded to the Red Sox, LaMarre was designated for assignment.
