After continuing knee problems, Gyaki decided to retire his professional career as a player and focus on this coaching career instead. In 2014, Gyaki became assistant coach of the Canadian men’s soccer team at Mount Royal University and in 2015 he succeeded as head coach. In his first season as manager, Gyaki guided the Mount Royal Cougars to the playoffs for the first time in University history, finishing third in the Prairie Division.
Gyaki, a creative midfielder and attacking midfielder, was named Canadian U20 player-of-the Year in 2005. In 2005, he was the captain of the Canadian U20 soccer team.

After undergoing abdominal muscle surgery, Gyaki was able to captained Canada’s U20 national team. He scored all four goals during qualification for the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship in The Netherlands. He was a part of all three games against Colombia, Syria, and Italy. In 2005, he was the Canada Youth Player of Year. Gyaki represented Canada in seventeen games at Under-20 level and scored four goals. In 2005, he was rated one of the 10 best players to watch in the Under 20 World Cup.
After only one game in August 2005 with United’s reserve team, he suffered a ruptured knee ligament and was unable to participate in the 2005-06 promotion campaign. He signed with F.C. in 2007, after five years of service with United’s Premiership and Championship teams. Hansa Rostock is the German first Bundesliga.
After a continuing battle with knee problems, he was released by FC Hansa Rostock on 27 May 2009.
