Ryan, the son of Richey Christian and Jodi Christians, was born in Aledo Texas on January 7, 1986. Ryan attended Aledo High School and played there. He was a letterman in track and field and football, as well as twice in soccer and once in basketball. Christian was able to carry 305 times for 2,166 yard, which is a 7.1 average per carry and 28 touchdowns as senior. Christian was on his way to receiving all-area, district cosMVP and all state honors. He was also an academic allstate selection. Christian led his team to the state semifinals. He was a first team all-district back and was named Parker County Offensive MVP as junior. Christian rushed for 1,342 yard. As a freshman, he was named the Newcomer of Year and rushed for 4,826 yards. He also rushed for 767 yards with 55 touchdowns and threw 69 passes for 1,245 yard and six scores. He played in 13 games, with three starts. In 2008, he moved back to his position as tailback, after he started fall camp at wide receiver. Christian was an integral part of TCU’s offensive. He was second in receptions (30), third all-purpose yards (841), and fourth in rushing (386). In the 31-14 victory over Stanford, he rushed for 82 yards on 19 carries and added four receptions for 21 yard.
After graduating TCU, Christian signed with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). In the 2010 season, Christian caught 9 passes for 103 yards and 0 receiving touchdowns in his career.
After a year in the CFL, Christian became part of the Parma Panthers that is based in Italy. Christian, who is extremely strong in his faith, said he does not have any desire to play in the NFL in the near-future and is “perfectly happy where The Lord has [him]” with the Parma Panthers. In the 2013 season, Christian had 9 touchdowns.
Christian switched from wide receiver to tailback in preseason camp 2007. He had six receptions for 74 yard, including a 25-yard catch at Air Force. This was his best season. In the 20-13 Texas Bowl victory over Houston, he had 12 rushes of 42 yards and caught three passes for 30 yard. Christian was able to carry 12 times for 47 yards, including a 2-yard touchdown in San Diego State’s 45-33 win. He also had two receptions of 17 yards against the Aztecs. In the season-opening 270-0 win over Baylor, Christian ran for 40 yards on nine attempts. He also added two receptions versus Bears. Christian made his first start at collegiate in the 21-7 victory over SMU.

Ryan Christian, born January 7, 1986, is an American wide receiver in American football. He was a Texas Christian University (TCU) student and a professional football player in the Canadian Football League with the Toronto Argonauts. He started his career as a running back for the Parma Panthers, based in the Italian Football League.
Ryan played college football at Texas Christian University between 2006 and 2009. His first collegiate reception was six yards against San Diego State. He also caught a pass in the Air Force game. Christian ran for 1 yard at Baylor during his college debut. Christian ran for three yards against UC Davis the next week and had two tackles on special team in the 12-3 win at Texas Tech.
In 2009 in his senior year, he placed fourth on TCU with 24 receptions.posted his first two receiving touchdowns, 44 and 29 yards, en route to his first career 100-yard game. He also saw action at tailback during the season, rushing for 66 yards on 14 carries, and ran for a season-best 28 yards on seven attempts in the opener at Virginia. He had a season-long 23-yard gain against UNLV, and after, added two receptions versus the Rebels. He had two catches at Wyoming, including a 29-yard pick up. Christian averaged 25.4 yards on five kickoff returns for the season and had a career-long 43-yard kickoff return in the New Mexico game.
