Rumer is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on June 3, 1979 in Islamabad, United Kingdom. Rumer, seventh child of eight, was born in Tarbela Dam in Pakistan in 1979. Rumer’s family was there between 1977 and 1984, while her British father was Chief Engineer for the Tarbela Dam Project. This project was funded by the World Bank.

Rumer discovered that her biological father was the family cook from Pakistan, who her mother had an affair with while living in Pakistan. Rumer was asked by her mother to travel to Pakistan in 2001 to find her father. Rumer agreed, as her mother had said, “I want to leave the planet with my house in order.” On her arrival, she discovered that he had just died in an accident.

In September 2010, Rumer performed three songs on Later with Jools Holland. She performed with British jazz singer Jamie Cullum in the 2010 Royal Variety Performance. Also in 2010, Elton John invited Rumer to be his special guest at his BBC Electric Proms concert.

Sarah Prentice was a singer in a London-based folk/indie group called La Honda, which was moderately successful between 2000 and 2001. Rumer & the Denials formed her band in 2004 and released a version of “Come To Me High” for 7″ in 2007. Their MySpace page now closed contained an acoustic recording “Slow”, which was included in the compilation album A Very Magistey Valentine. Under the title Stereo Venus, a collection of material was recorded with Rory Moore in 2008. This material was intended for television and film, and was initially distributed in Europe. The album Close to the Sun was released in

Rumer released her second album of all original material, and her third total studio album, Into Colour on 10 November 2014 in the UK, Ireland and Japan, peaking at #12 on the UK Charts.
