Joly was a rookie and played for the Windsor Express of Canada’s National Basketball League (NBLC) during the 2015-16 season. He scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds in his debut. Joly had averaged 4.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in 14 games. He also recorded 0.6 assists per game, taking 10.3 minutes to complete the game.
Prior to the 2016–17 season, Joly was named to Windsor’s protected list so that they retained his rights. In the summer of 2016, he signed a contract with the Danang Dragons of the Vietnam Basketball Association (VBA). On August 27, he led the Dragons to a win over the Cantho Catfish with 32 points, nine rebounds, and two assists, earning him game MVP honors. He helped the team win the VBA championship against Hochiminh City Wings, scoring a team-high 26 points in the final game. Joly was additionally named international MVP after averaging a team-best 24.2 points per game.
On October 24, 2017, Joly signed with the St. John’s Edge, an expansion team in the NBL Canada.
Joly was with Sheridan during his second season. He had a double-double on November 29th, 2014 with 11 points and 10 boards in a win over Dakota College. On February 13, 2015, he had another impressive performance, scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds in a win over Miles Community College. However, his team lost in overtime.

Joly started playing college basketball in 2013 for Sheridan College. It is a junior college located in Sheridan, Wyoming. Steve Smiley, the head coach, praised Rudolphe. “One of the most popular sayings in basketball was ‘you cannot teach size’. Rudolphe is not only unique in size but also has great strength and mobility at the post. Joly scored two points and grabbed a team record 10 rebounds in ten minutes to defeat Rocky Mountain College on November 6, 2013.

In the following month, Joly was chosen to join UQAM at a FIBA 3×3 All-Stars competition in Doha, Qatar.
