Corrales became the first Salvadoran player to score five goals during a FIFA World Cup qualifier against Anguilla on February 6, 2008. Raul Diaz Arce of Salvador, who had previously scored four goals against Saint Vincent & the Grenadines during the 2002 World Cup qualifiers, held the previous record. His most memorable goal was scored in a FIFA World Cup qualifier against Costa Rica on September 9, 2009. El Salvador’s Qualification Stage was reborn with a 90th-minute goal.
He now plays with CD Aguiluchos USA in Oakland, CA. He scored on a free kick in the 90th minute 15.03.14 to win the match a US Open Cup Qualifier.
In a league match against Alianza F.C. on September 9, 2007, Corrales became the seventh person in Salvadoran league history to score 100 goals. Corrales became the seventh Salvadoran league player to score 100 goals. This feat was only achieved by Williams Reyes, Raul Diaz Arce and Emiliano Pedrozo.

Corrales began his professional career in 1997 when he signed a contract for Municipal Limeno. On November 29, 1997, Corrales made his professional debut in a league match against Dragon.
Corrales made his debut as El Salvador’s player in a UNCAF Nations Cup match against Nicaragua in May 2001. He has since earned 71 caps and scored 16 goals. He represented his country at 20 FIFA World Cup qualifier matches, as well as the 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2009 UNCAF Nations Cups.
On December 19, 2010, it was announced that he signed a two year contract with Alianza. In January 2012, Corrales joined Dragón. In April 2012 he suffered a stroke which partially paralyzed his face.
