Rouslan Saghabalyan is one of the most popular and richest Journalist who was born on January 15, 1951 in Grozny, Chechnya, Russia. Rouslan Sargalyan, a Russian journalist and screenwriter, is of Armenian descent. Born in Grozni (Russia) on January 15, 1951. At the age of five, he moved to Armenia with his parents. After completing the Russian Language School 58, he studied at Yerevan State University Faculty of Russian Philology. Literary Armenia magazine was his workplace from 1975 to 1982. In 1982, he was accepted to the prestigious Higher Courses of Cinematography at Moscow. He studied at the Faculty of Screenwriting in famous Russian screenwriter Valeri Frd’s class between 1982-1984. He received a diploma of excellence from the courses and returned to Yerevan where he continued as a journalist/writer.
In 1983, Armenian published the first book of science fiction short stories Behind the Horizon by Saghabalyan. In 1990, Russian published The Cutest Dinosaur Ever, a second collection of science-fiction short story collections.
From 1990 to 1992, he was the Chief Editor of the Russian Language newspaper Aragast. In 1992 moved to Moscow. During his first years in Moscow he founded the magazine Comme il faut and the newspaper Osobnyak 16. Later was the Chief Editor of the newspaper Roman-Tabloid and the Deputy editor of Stolichni Sever magazine.
In 1996 in his novel Cosmic Decameron was published in Moscow, under pen name “Sagarus”. The book is considered to be one of the first novels representing a new genre- Erotic Science-Fiction. Rouslan Saghabalyan’s next book Hamlet’s Father’s Ghost was published in 2004. in 2011 his book of essays of the recent years Looking for Edem was published.
More than 1.500 works were published between 1976 and 2012 in over a hundred media units and literary units.
