Roshen Silva is one of the most popular and richest Cricketer who was born on November 17, 1988 in Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka. Silva received a jump in the ICC Test Batting Rankings of Silva, which placed him in the 49th spot in the top-50 batsmen for the first time in his professional career.
He was selected in Sri Lanka’s Test squad against India in November 2017. On 2 December 2017, he made his Test debut against India for Sri Lanka. In the first innings, he was caught duck by Ravichandran Ashwin’s first delivery. Silva managed to score his maiden test fifty in the second innings and helped Sri Lanka move closer to victory. The match ended in a draw and Silva won the match with 74 runs unbeaten.
In March 2018, he was named in Galle’s squad for the 2017–18 Super Four Provincial Tournament. In the opening fixture of the tournament, he scored 231 not out in the first innings against Colombo. He was the leading run-scorer for the tournament, with 535 runs in three matches.
In March 2019, he was named in Kandy’s squad for the 2019 Super Provincial One Day Tournament.
He was selected in Sri Lanka’s Test team for the series against Australia in July 2016. However, he didn’t play. He was again not selected in Sri Lanka’s Test squad against Pakistan in September 2017.

Athege Roshen Shivanka, also known as Roshen Silva, is a professional Sri Lankan Test Cricketer. He was born 17 November 1988. He is also a first-class cricketer for Colts Cricket Club.
Silva also took his batting form to Test 2 of the tour. He scored match- winning fifties in each of the innings. Sri Lanka set a target of 300 runs for Bangladesh, which was enough to win the match. Due to the outstanding bowling performances by all bowlers, Sri Lanka won the match by 215 runs. Roshen Silva became the fifth player to score four hundred plus runs in five Test innings, becoming the first Sri Lankan to do so. Roshen Silva also managed to score a total of 309 runs over his five Test innings, which is second only to Asela Gunaratne’s aggregate of 309. Sri Lanka won the two match series 1-0. Silva was adjudged player and man of the match for his batting performances.
In May 2018, he was one of 33 cricketers to be awarded a national contract by Sri Lanka Cricket ahead of the 2018–19 season.
