Roland Irwin Christopher Holder, who was born 22 December 1967, is a Barbadian cricketer. He was born in Port of Spain and Trinidad, where he played most of his first-class cricket. While still a Combermere School schoolboy, he made his Barbados debut in 1986 and continued to play through the 2000/01 season. Between 1993 and 1999, he also played 11 Tests, 37 One Day Internationals, and made his Test debut against India in Sabina Park (Jamaica) in 1997.
Holder made his Test debut in 1997 against India at Sabina park. He scored 21 runs and 17 not out in a draw game. Holder followed that up with 91 in his next Test in Trinidad. This helped West Indies to recover from 169 runs for six to 296 in the first innings. He would only reach 50 in his 14th innings, which was a promising start. However, he was dropped in 1999.
His best performance in ODIs was his 48-ball 65 against New Zealand in Trinidad, 1996.
