Rodica Arba, nee Puscatu, was born on May 5, 1962. She is a retired Romanian rower. She won two gold, one and one silver medals at the 1988, 1984, and 1988 Olympics. She won four gold, one bronze, and one silver medals at the 1981-87 world championships, mostly in coxless pairs.
As a member the Romanian women’s eight, she won a bronze medal at the 1980 Summer Olympics. She competed with Elena Horvat in the coxless tandem during the 1981 season. They won bronze at the 1981 World Rowing Championships Oberschleissheim, near Munich, Germany. She was part of the coxed four women’s team that won bronze at the 1982 World Rowing Championships. Horvat and Arba were silver medalists in the women’s tandem at the 1983 World Rowing Championships. This same crew won gold at Los Angeles’ 1984 Summer Olympics. She won the 1985 World Rowing Championships title together with Horvat and the 1986 and 1987 World Rowing Championships together with Olga Homeghi. She also competed in the 1987 World Rowing Championships with the women’s eight and won a second title.
