Robin Bextor is one of the most popular and richest Film Director who was born on October 11, 1953 in Hammersmith, England, United Kingdom. Robin Bextor, born 1953, is an English television and film producer and director. He is the father to the dance-pop singer Sophie EllisBextor.

He directed six TV series about London in 2013, including specials on Windsor Castle, London Underground and Buckingham Palace. The Story of the London Underground was also published in the same year. (GU2) He produced and directed Glyndebourne. The Untold Story (90 minutes) for BBC TV the following year. He also directed and wrote a four-part music series The Sound of the 60’s. A book of the series was published the following year. He has also made films for 10cc (Clever Clogs), Squeeze and Cara Dillon French band AIR. Along with his daughter Sophie, he was also a founder of The Little World Festival, a Meribel Music Festival that is located in the French Alps.

He was awarded the Columbus (“Chris”) Award for The British Schindler. This documentary, which was broadcast on ITV in 2005, won a BAFTA as well as the New York Film Festival Best Documentary Award.
