He also created a short experimental video screening series called XMV, which was presented at Collective. Unconscious. In 2009, he founded the Fifteen Minutes of Fame Project. Voisey was appointed the Organizational Advancement director for the Electronic Music Midwest festival in 2011.

Robert Voisey, born 1969, is a producer and composer of electronicacoustic chamber and electroacoustic music. Vox Novus was founded in 2000 by Voisey to promote contemporary music. In 2001, The American Composer Timeline was created, which is the first comprehensive listing of American composers to be available online. It covers the period 1690 to the present. Voisey is a producer of new music, multi-media concerts, and events. He is most well-known for creating the 60×60 project in 2003 to promote contemporary composers. Voisey is also the founder and director of the Composer’s Voice Concert Series, as well the chamber music project Fifteen Minutes of Fame. He also serves as vice president of the Living Music Foundation’s programs.

To pursue his entrepreneurial dream, he left Brooklyn College’s program to become a composer on his own. In 2000, he founded Vox Novus and established the American Composers Timeline. He created the Composer’s Voice Concert Series in 2001, a series of chamber concerts. The series has been hosted in a variety of venues throughout New York City, including South Oxford Space, Brooklyn, The Gershwin hotel, Under St. Mark’s Theater and Collective: Unconscious. The first of his works; to exemplify this techniques are starfields (2002) and Hourglass: base, traverse, and land (2003) The Hourglass movement base was published on the Brooklyn College Electroacoustic CD. His work Lust (2003) was the first ambient piece of his to be performed with live voice in conjunction to electronic playback. Later in October 2010, Robert Voisey’s piece, Flute Lust, (a flute version of the work) would premier at Electronic Music Midwest at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, performed by flutist Rebecca Ashe.
