Mobulu arrived in Canada in the summer 2010 to join Vancouver Whitecaps. He was initially a resident of the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency, a PDL affiliate. On July 28, he made his Whitecaps debut, playing second-half for Blake Wagner. He also scored his first Whitecaps goal in a draw against Austin Aztex on August 29.
Mobulu made his professional debut on December 9, 2007 with Lausanne-Sport in a match against Winterthur in Switzerland’s second division Challenge League. In 2009-10, he made 20 appearances with Lausanne, scoring five goals. He also spent six months on loan to Bulle, Switzerland’s third-tier 1. Liga between January 2010 and June 2010.

Mobulu was born in Lausanne in Switzerland. He attended Ecole Secondaire des Bergieres as a student and joined the youth ranks at FC Aigle in 1996, when he was five years old. In 2003, he joined the nearby FC Yvorne. He then joined the Swiss professional club Lausanne-Sport’s youth setup in 2005 at age 14. There he played from U-15 to U-18 levels until 2008.
Mobulu was a member of the Swiss U-15 team in 2005. However, he has declared that he will play for the Democratic Republic of the Congo if the opportunity presents itself. Mobulu was born in Switzerland and raised there. His parents, Ngia Jose Nzobo, and Florent Kashama Mobulu, are citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
On 4 January 2019, Mobulu re-joined Yverdon-Sport FC.
