Ricky Wells, born 27 July 1991 in Auckland (New Zealand), is an American international motorcycle speedway rider. He rides for Poole in SGB Premiership and doubles up with Edinburgh in the SGB Championship. He was the 2009 US National Champion. He has also been a U.S. National Champion twice. He is also a two-time U.S. National Champion. He was an international rider for the USA at the Speedway World Cup.

Ricky won the US National Championship on 19 September 2009. He won all his heat races as well as the main event. Mike Bast, who was the youngest rider ever to win this event, was beaten by Ricky. He defeated former US Champions such as Bobby Schwartz and Charlie Venegas, Chris Manchester and Mike Faria, to win the event.

Wells rode in 2009 for the Elite League Coventry Bees and in 2010 for the Stoke Potters of the Premier League on loan from Coventry. He rode in 2011 for the Elite Shield-winning Wolverhampton Wolves team, and the Premier League’s Plymouth Devils. Since 2012, he has been riding for Wolves and Sheffield Tigers in Premier League.
