Allison was awarded the International Achievement Award in 2004 with Lara Fabian, co-writer at the Francophone SOCAN Awards Montreal.

Since, he has composed songs for several French and French-Canadian singers such as Gino Quilico, Vincent Niclo, Marc-André Fortin, Suzie Villeneuve and Magalie Vaé, for whom he produced the album Magalie in 2006.

Allison was also a major success in producing Chimene Badi’s debut album Entre Nous, which he released in 2003. The French Singles Chart topped with the single of the same title. Later, he collaborated with Julie Zenatti, Nolwenn Léroy, and Elodie Frege, who were all young female singers.

Allison met Lara Fabian, a singer from Brussels, in 1990 at a piano bar. Together they began writing songs and moved to Montreal in 1991 to record Fabian’s first album. The record was released in Canada in 1991 and was a commercial smash. Allison was the producer of Fabian’s subsequent francophone albums Carpe Diem and Pure, as well as Nue. All three of these albums were very successful and had several hits in Canada and France. He was also involved in the production of her first English-language album, Lara Fabian.

Allison composed the music for “Il faut du temps”, the French entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2002. He also contributed three songs to Johnny Hallyday’s album A la vie, a la mort that year, including the single Pense, a moi.

In 2004, Allison and Fabian, who had been a couple in real life, broke up and also ended their professional relationship. This was followed by a series of legal battles over the use of the copyright of Fabian’s songs.
