Verschoor started karting in 2011. From 2011 to 2013, he raced in several Dutch karting series. He moved to Europe in 2014 and won the CIKFIA Karting Academy Trophy. In 2015, he was victorious again and won the German Karting Championship. He was also third and sixth in the European CIKFIA KF Championship.
In 2016, Verschoor switched to single-seaters, joining the SMP F4 Championship. He won the Sochi opening race and was then made a part of the Red Bull Junior Team. He won a string of ten races consecutively and was awarded the championship title.
Verschoor became the first Dutch driver to win the Macau Grand Prix, winning at his first attempt in 2019.
