Maniero, who was a co-owner of Pescara’s 2010-11 Serie B campaign, joined Pescara in August 2010. He paid EUR450,000. Currently, Juventus also signed Luca Del Papa (also in co-ownership agreement) for EUR300,000. Pescara signed Raffaele alcibiade, a temporary Juve deal. Maniero failed to score in Serie B. After Maniero’s exclusion from Pescara’s Serie A plan, he moved to Ternana on 31 August 2012. Ternana also received Antonino Ragusa, a midfielder, and Riccardo Brsco, a defender from Pescara that same day.
On 31 August 2015 Maniero was signed by Serie B club Bari.

Maniero started his youth career in Juventus in the late 90s. He was then promoted to the Primavera reserve side in 2005. Maniero was a player in the under-20 team and was called up by Didier deschamps to play for the senior side in Coppa Italia matches and Serie B matches. He played against Genoa, AlbinoLeffe and Lecce and was an unutilized substitute on the bench. Maniero was part of the team that brought Juventus back to Serie A in that year, after being relegated from the second division.
Maniero, along with Andrea Luci, a Juventus youth player, was not included in Claudio Ranieri’s June 2007 team plans. Maniero scored one goal in 21 league games with Ascoli. After his stint with Ascoli Maniero was loaned again to Bari along with fellow loanees from Juventus, Raffaele Bianu, and Rej Volpato. Maniero was not able to settle down and get regular action after Lanzafame, Bianco and Bianco made good impressions at the club.
On 19 June 2013 the co-ownership between Pescara and Juventus were terminated, which saw Maniero now 100% under Pescara’s contract for free as well as Del Papa under Juve for €100,000.
