Reynolds Bekinbo Dagogo-Jack is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on December 4, 1957 in Abonnema, Rivers State, Nigeria. Reynolds Bekinbo Dagogo Jack, OFR (born on 4 December 1957), also known as Beks is a Nigerian civil engineering, technocrat, and public servant. Dagogo-Jack is active in the private and public sectors for over 30 years. He is particularly skilled in project management, government/public administration, and engineering construction.
Dagogo-Jack was Deputy Director from 1992 to 1994 and then Special Assistant to the Chairman of Technical Committee on Privatisation & Commercialisation, formerly Bureau of Public Enterprises, the Late Dr. H. R. Zayyad. He was heavily involved in the preparation of reform plans for the National Electric Power Authority, Nigerian Telecommunications Limited and Nigerian Ports Authority, as well as the Federal Mortgage Bank. He was also Secretary to the Nigerian Airways Privatization Sub-Committee (“Air Nigeria”) during this time.
Dagogo-Jack served as Honourable Commissioner for Works and Transport in Rivers State under the military administration of Colonel Musa Shehu, from 1997 to 1998, and was mandated to complete several infrastructural projects mostly to upgrade the facilities in Port Harcourt to enable it cope with the accelerating increase in the urban population.
From 1999 to 2007, Dagogo-Jack was founding Chairman of the Center for Public Good, a grassroots non-governmental organisation; and in 2001, he was Convener and Chairman of the Group of Rivers Professionals (GRIPS). He has also awarded several scholarships to deserving students from the Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State.
From 1989 to 1992 Dagogo-Jack was the Special Assistant (Technical), to the Honourable Ministry of Aviation (Alabo O. Graham-Douglas). He was directly involved with the development of Nigeria’s airline license and libralisation policies, reform of national aviation management agencies, and the complete rehabilitation of three Nigerian international airports (Lagos Kano, Kano, and Port-Harcourt). Additionally, he served as a Director of the Board of Nigeria Airports Authority (now Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN)

Dagogo-Jack studied in Nigeria at University of Benin. He graduated in 1980 with distinctions in hydraulics, advanced structures and a bachelor’s degree as Civil Engineering. He completed his master’s in Business Administration at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, in 1992. In 1969, he received his First School Leaving Certificate from Bishop Crowther Memorial School in Abonnema and in 1974, his West African School Certificate from Baptist High School in Port Harcourt. Both were obtained in Rivers State of Nigeria.
Dagogo-Jack was a downstream petroleum engineer from 1982 to 1989. He started at Unipetrol (now Oando Plc), and ended up with Elf Petroleum. His work included various roles such as Manager, District, Divisional, Operations Engineer, and Manager. He was responsible for all aspects of downstream petroleum business, including retail outlet development and maintenance as well as product supply and logistics.
In 1996, Dagogo-Jack was appointed a Member of the Federal Government Special Committee for sharing the Assets and Liabilities of two pairs of newly created States: Sokoto/Zamfara and Bauchi/Gombe.
