His impressive performances earned him a call-up to the senior side at the end of 2002-03 season. He made his professional debut against Teuta Durres, his first club, on May 3, 2003, in a 2-0 defeat for Arapi’s team. For the 2003-04 season, he was loaned to Erzeni Shijak in Albania’s First Division. He failed to make it into the first team and made only 2 appearances before returning to Dinamo Tirana. After failing to make it in the club’s first team, Arapi joined the newly promoted Albanian Superliga side Besa Kavaje during the summer transfer window 2005.

After impressing the club during a trial, he signed a one-year loan agreement from Besa Kavaje to join Silkeborg’s newly-relegated Danish 1st Division side in January 2008. He joined the club in the middle of the season and played in 10 league matches. The following season he played the first half of the season with Besa Kavajë before going on a trial with Danish side Silkeborg and eventually joining the club on loan in January 2008 after impressing the management.
