Renato Mag-Gay Abibico, a Filipino Episcopal Bishop, was born 2 February 1951 in Sabangan (Mountain Province). Since his enthronement in November 2014, he has been the Prime Bishop of the Episcopal Church of the Philippines. He is married to his wife and father of five children.
Abibico was consecrated bishop of Northern Luzon’s Episcopal Diocese at the Cathedral of Holy Trinity, Bulanao on 11 April 1997. At the second session, the second day of 9th Regular Synod’s second day, Abibico was elected Prime Bishop of Episcopal Church of the Philippines. He was elected on 25 August 2014. His induction took place on the 20th of November 2014.
Abibico was a priest for many years before he was appointed in 1986 as both an Administrative Officer and Development Officer at Northern Luzon Diocese. He would oversee both offices until 1997.

From 1963 to 1967, Abibico was a student at St. Joseph School in Sabangan and San Alfonso High School in Quezon City. From 1967 to 1969, he continued his studies at Trinity College in the same city. He was an associate professor of arts.
Abibico was a religious convert, and he studied at SATS from 1969 to 1974 where he received a bachelors degree in theology. In 1988, he earned a masters degree. On 27 December 1974, he was ordained to the Episcopal priesthood. He was also ordained to the Episcopal diaconate. In 1992 and 199393, he completed a masters of development and theology at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
