Seibutis was selected in the second round by the Dallas Mavericks as the 50th overall selection of the 2007 NBA draft. After being selected, Seibutis played in the second round with the Dallas Mavericks’ NBA Summer League Team in Las Vegas. He averaged 6 points, 1 rebound and 1.6 assists per game, while shooting more than 47% in just 13 minutes. In 2008, he played again and averaged 2 points per game in 10.9 minutes over 5 games. Because of his poor performance, he was eventually dropped from the 2008 roster.
Seibutis was a member of the Lithuanian national basketball team that won bronze medals at the 2010 FIBA World Championship. Seibutis also took part in his first Olympic Games, London 2012.
