She has been a justice on the Wisconsin Supreme Court since 2015. Since 2012, she has been a Wisconsin state judge. Governor Scott Walker appointed her to the Supreme Court in 2015. She won election in 2016 for a 10-year term.

Bradley was appointed to the Milwaukee County Circuit Court by Walker in December 2012. She served as the children’s court judge division. In April 2013, she was elected to a six year term as a judge on the court, with substantial support from Wisconsin Club for Growth.

In June 2019, Bradley wrote the majority opinion for the Wisconsin Supreme Court where the conservatives on the court upheld a series of laws that the Republican-led Wisconsin legislature and Republican Governor Scott Walker passed during a lame-duck session in order to limit the powers of the incoming Democratic Governor (Tony Evers) and Attorney General (Josh Kaul).

In May 2020, she Bradley questioned the stay-at-home orders issued by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Secretary Andrea Palm. She compared the stay-at-home orders to the internment of Japanese-Americans during World War II, and labeled it “tyrannic.”

Following Crooks’ passing, Bradley, JoAnne and Martin Joseph Donald announced their candidacies for the seat in 2016. Bradley defeated Kloppenburg by 44.7% to 43.2% in the February 16 primary. This resulted in them both moving on to the general election as an even race.

Bradley’s homophobic writings, which she published in Marquette University’s student newspaper as an undergraduate in 1992, caused controversy during the race. In letters to the editor, and in a column for Marquette Tribune, she said she had no sympathy for AIDS patients as they were “degenerates” who had essentially chosen to die. She also called gays “queers” and referred to them as “queers”. She described the majority of Americans who voted Clinton as “either completely stupid or entirely evil”. She called abortion supporters murderers and compared them to slavery and the Holocaust. She called feminists “angry, militant and man-hating lesbians that abhor traditional family” and supported Camille Paglia who wrote in 1991 that “women who drink at frat parties and women who go upstairs to see frat brothers were ‘idiots'”. Bradley claimed that Paglia had “legitimately suggested” that women played a part in date rape. Bradley later apologized for her student writings, shortly after they caused controversy.

In May 2015, Walker elevated Bradley to the Wisconsin Court of Appeals to fill a vacancy caused by the death of Judge Ralph Adam Fine. After the death of Justice N. Patrick Crooks in 2015, Bradley was appointed by Governor Walker to serve as a justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court for the remainder of Crooks’ term.
