Ralph Jean-Louis is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on September 11, 1968 in Au Cap, Seychelles. Ralph Jean-Louis, a former Seychellois football player and manager, was born 11 September 1968. He is currently the manager of the Seychelles men’s national team. He was also the manager of St Michel United, a Seychelles First Division team. He was a striker and midfielder for the Seychelles national football team for eleven years. He played at club level for Bel Air FC (anse-aux-Pins FC) and St Michel United (anse-aux-Pins FC). He was a Indian Ocean Island Games player and a manager, winning two bronze medals.
Jean-Louis’s team was placed in group A along with the Maldives, Comoros, and Mauritius at the Indian Ocean Island Games 2011. The first game against Comoros was played on the 4th of August 2011. It ended in a 0-0 draw. Seychelles won 2-1 against Mauritius in their second group match. Goals from Archille Henriette and Nelson Laurence secured the victory. The Jean-Loius led Seychelles defeated the Maldives 5-1 in their final group match. The team advanced to the semi-finals with seven points. This was three points more than Mauritius, and five more than both Comoros (and the Maldives). Jean-Louis’s team met Reunion in the semi-finals. After Karl Hall’s 118th minute winner, Seychelles won in extra-time 2-1. Seychelles will face Mauritius in the final. They beat Mauritius 2-1 in the group stage. After extra time, the game was decided to go to penalties. The shootout was won by Seychelles, who won the gold medal. Jean-Louis quit the team shortly after the victory at the Indian Ocean Island Games.
Jean-Louis was re-appointed manager of Seychelles in September 2015, replacing Ulric Mathiot. In an interview with Seychelles Life after his appointment, Jean-Louis said, “I took it up this time as a challenge for me to see if I can do better than last time.” He was one of four applicants for the job and the only local one. His first match in his second spell as manager was against Burundi on 7 October 2015 in the first round of African qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The team lost 1–0 before losing the second leg 2–0 and being knocked out of qualifying for the World Cup.
After been sacked from the national team, Jean-Louis re-joined St Michel United. Then in 2015 he left again, due to being re-hired by the national team. He thanked St Michel United for their understanding.
Jean-Louis was appointed manager of the Seychelles team’s national team in December 2010. He replaced Andrew Amers-Morrison, who was head coach. Jean- Louis stated that his goal with the team was to reach the Indian Ocean Island Games final, and make local fans proud by winning.

Jean-Louis was a member of the Seychelles national soccer team for 11 years, from 1990 to 2000. At least one international was played by Jean-Louis, a 1-1 draw against Namibia on April 8, 2000 as part of qualifying for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He was replaced at half-time by Jude Ladouce. Jean-Louis has been awarded two Indian Ocean Island Games football medals. He was awarded a bronze medal at Madagascar 1990, and a second bronze at Reunion98. Jean-Louis was a member of three clubs during his playing career. These were Bel Air FC (anse-aux-Pins FC) and St Michel United (as well as Anse-aux-Pins FC). In an era where Seychellois football teams were located in particular regions, he began his career at Bel Air. Bel Air FC was the administrative district on Mahe. Jean-Louis moved on to Anse-aux-Pins FC, who represented the administrative region of Anse-aux-Pins. Jean-Louis then moved to St Michel United, Seychelles First Division club. He won the 2003 Seychelles FA Cup as well as the 2003 Seychelles First Division. In 2004, he stopped playing for St Michel United.
Jean-Louis has coached St Michel United in two different spells. His first spell ended in early 2011, soon after he was appointed national team coach. He left after a CAF Champions League match against Young Buffaloes F.C. from Swaziland. He won quite a few title with the club in his first spell.
