Ralph Cupper completed his studies at The Hewett School in Norwich and then studied at The Royal Academy of Music, London. He studied with Douglas Hawkridge the Organ; Dr. Douglas Hopkins directed Choir/Orchestra Direction; Harmony, Counterpoint, and Fugue with Drs. Arthur Pritchard, Arthur Wills. He completed his studies in 1976 and continued organ studies with Susi Jeans, Nicholas Kynaston, with the assistance of a Stipend provided by ‘The Alderman Norman Foundation. A Stipend was given to Ralph Cupper by ‘The Arts Council of Great Britain’ in 1979. He was to study the organ with Bernard Bartelinck (Dutch Organist) at the Bavo Cathedral, Haarlem.
