He graduated with a B. In 1988, he graduated from Osmania University in Hyderabad with a B. He visited Antwerp in 1989 to receive his father’s treatment. His discourses were well-received by an increasing number of his followers. In 1991, he completed his M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Mumbai. In January 1994, Ramanlal Shah began his doctoral studies on Atmasiddhi. This spiritual work was composed by Shrimad Rajchandra. The University of Mumbai awarded him his PhD in December 1998. He had promised not to speak publicly until his PhD was complete. On 13 April 2001, he gave Rajkot his first public speech.

He established Shrimad Rajchandra Love and Care (SRLC); a non-governmental organisation that provides medical, educational and humanitarian services; in 2003.

In November 2016, the Mission produced a play, Yugpurush: Mahatma na Mahatma depicting spiritual relationship between Shrimad Rajchandra and Mahatma Gandhi. The Mission opened a science college in Dharampur, Shrimad Rajchandra Vidyapeeth, the same month. In November 2017, the 34-feet tall statue of Shrimad Rajchandra was unveiled at the ashram. By 2017, the Mission had 102 Satsang centres, 39 Youth Group Centres and 227 Divine Touch Centres worldwide. In 2019, the Mission and the Sangeet Natak Akademi co-produced a play Bharat Bhagya Vidhata focused on how Mahatma Gandhi cultivated the values of truth and non-violence. The Mission gifted statue of Mahatma Gandhi to the city of Manchester to serve as a symbol of love and compassion post the 2017 incident that took place at the Manchester Arena. It was unveiled in November 2019.

1978 saw Rakesh visit Hampi, where he stayed for 18 months. In 1978, a satsang mandal (devotional group), was established. Some of his followers were already calling him guru in 1980. He decided to dedicate the rest of his life spiritual activities after a visit to Jaipur’s aunt. He returned to Hampi in 1983 and stayed there for a further two years. He was then nominated to succeed Mataji. He returned to Mumbai in 1985 at the request of his parents and began studying Indian classical music, yoga, and religious texts. Between 1985 and 1990, he traveled extensively and observed silence for twelve hours per day. His followers grew in number during this time. He decided to go to college during his time in Nepal.

Rakesh Jhaveri (also known as Pujyagurudevshri Rakeshbhai) was born 26 September 1966. He is an Indian spiritual leader, mystic scholar, author, and orator. He is spiritually inclined since he was a child and a follower Shrimad Rajchandra, an Indian spiritual teacher. He did his doctoral research on Shrimad’s Atmasiddhi work. Shrimad Rajchandra Mission, Dharampur was founded by him to support spiritual and social activities.

Rakesh started his academic studies in 1972 at Activity High School, Mumbai. Rakesh was spiritually inclined from an early age. He began to speak on Jain philosophy at the age of 4. When Shrimad Rajchandra Vachanamrit, a copy of Shrimadrajchandra Vachanamrit, fell, he saw Shrimad Rajchandra’s photograph. After this incident, he recounted how he entered deep meditation for 72 hours. This led to jati-smaranagnan (remembering his previous lives).

Rakesh Jhaveri established Shrimad Rajchandra Adhyatmik Satsang Sadhana Kendra in 1994 to organise his followers which was later succeeded by the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur. On 13 May 1999, the construction of an ashram spread across 223 acres at Dharampur was started and was opened in April 2001. The ashram is located on the hillock of Mohangadh which was an estate of the last ruler of the erstwhile Dharampur State. In 2002, he started initiating followers, Atmarpits, who give up worldly possessions and commit to celibacy. He gives the series of discourses to his followers at the ashram throughout the year. He gives discourses in Mumbai once a month on Shrimad Rajchandra Vachanamrit, a compilation of Shrimad Rajchandra’s letters, personal diaries and transcriptions of his spiritual discourses. He also prescribes an annual scriptural study schedule to his followers.
