Over 15 years, he has played domestic cricket, representing various teams such as the Tamil Nadu cricket and Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders, Rising Pune Supergiants, and the Delhi Daredevils. When he was young, he was part of the MRF Pace Foundation. He is the leader of Uttarakhand’s cricket team in 2018 Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy.
He contributed significantly to Delhi’s title win in 2007-08 Ranji Trophy Season with 512 runs in seven matches.
In 2011, he played a major role in Kolkata Knight Riders getting into the top four and qualify for the Champions League Twenty20 for the first time and also won the Newport League.
He was bought by Rajasthan Royals at the 2014 IPL auction for Rs.1.7 crore. He was bought for INR 6 million in the VIVO IPL Auction – 9 and will be playing for the Rising Pune Supergiants.

For the past 11 years, he has been playing domestic cricket. He made his first-class debut in Tamil Nadu’s cricket team against Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo in 2000. In the same year, he also made his List A debut against the same team. He was not well-known outside of India’s domestic cricket circuit.
It was a shame that he wasn’t on the radar of the selectors. His 512 runs in seven matches was crucial in Delhi’s Ranji Trophy win in 2007. He was a great success in his first-class career. He took 76 wickets at the age of 29.21 and scored almost 4000 runs at an approximate of 50 runs per game. His runs were often at critical times when the team needed them most. He took nine wickets for Delhi Daredevils in the 2010 IPL. He was purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2011, who were looking to completely revamp their team. Bhatia was a crucial role in KKR’s first ever finish among the top teams at the end of the group stage. They also finished in the top four which allowed them to qualify for the 2011 Champions League Twenty20 qualifiers rounds. Bhatia again performed with both bat-and-ball to get KKR into the main round. He took 2/27 runs in 3.4 overs, and was the best spinner. Somerset won the penultimate bowl of the innings by five wickets.
He first played for Tamil Nadu, but later returned to his original state, the Delhi cricket team. He represented Delhi Daredevils in the inaugural IPL. In 2010 IPL, he took nine wickets to 9 matches, which was a very impressive display.
