Reggi, along with Sergio Casal, won the mixed doubles title in the US Open 1986. Reggi was a quarter-finalist in singles at the French Open 1987 and reached a career high singles ranking of World No. 13 in 1988. The 1985 Italian Open was one of her highlights.
She became the first woman from Italy to win the Italian Open in 1985, following Annelies Ullstein Bossi’s victory in 1950. Reggi, Ullstein-Bossi and Sara Errani were the only two Italian women to reach the singles semifinal of Italy’s most prestigious tennis tournament since World War II.
