Recode reported in August 2018 that Whetstone would be joining Netflix to run public relations.
Whetstone married Steve Hilton after having an affair with Lord Astor, stepfather of Samantha Cameron, former Prime Minister David Cameron’s wife, in the years leading up to 2005. Cameron has stopped speaking with Hilton and Whetstone. They were godparents of Ivan Cameron (the late, eldest child) of David Cameron.
