Jarry averaged 10.5 rebounds and 5.9 points off the bench during her first season playing for the Boomers. This included the playoff games. Jarry was promoted from the bench to the starting five in Bulleen’s second season. She replaced Hanna Zavecz, an injured teammate. She suffered a serious injury to her knee in a game against the AIS midway through the season and was forced to miss four games. The injury was not as severe as initially thought. Jarry averaged 13.4 rebounds and 5.8 points in 20 games, two of which were playoff games. Jarry was a key part of the Boomers’ first franchise championship. Jarry was a holder of an AIS scholarship in 2008 and 2009, and played for the WNBL in the 2008/2009 seasons.

Rachel Jarry, born 6 December 1991, is an Australian professional basketball player who plays for the Dandenong Rangers in the Women’s National Basketball League. As a five-year old, she began playing basketball and represented Victoria in national competitions. She has represented Australia’s WNBL with the Dandenong Rangers and the Australian Institute of Sport, as well as the Melbourne Boomers. In 2011, she was drafted by the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream and traded to the Lynx the following day. She was a member of both the senior and junior Australian women’s basketball teams.
