Psicosis II is one of the most popular and richest Amateur Wrestler who was born on February 22, 1967 in Puebla, Mexico. Juan Ebodio Gonzalez, a Mexican Luchador Enmascarado was born February 22, 1967. Gonzalez was the second wrestler who worked as Psicosis. He was given the ring role by Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion to replace the Original Psicosis. This is sometimes called Psicosis II. Gonzalez was briefly replaced by another Psicosis after he left AAA in the early part of 2009. On promotional materials, he was not called “Psicosis II”, but the name is used to differentiate himself from the original Psicosis. Gonzalez was renamed Psyco Ripper in November 2013 and Ripper shortly afterwards.
Psicosis and Histeria filed a lawsuit against AAA in April 2010 over issues such as ring character and name ownership, as well as unfair termination. They claim they have fought for 13 years to create and own the characters. To determine if they could reach a settlement or if the matter would go to court, the parties met at Mexico City’s Board of Conciliation and Arbitration. In late April 2010, the parties met again for an arbitration meeting. Latin Lover, who like Alebrije and Histeria, also joined the plaintiff group, claiming that he should be allowed the name because he had worked for Latin Lover for 18 year and should therefore be allowed to continue to use it. All parties were agreed to cooperate in the matter after the meeting. CMLL has since renamed El Alebrije and Histeria as Psicosis II.
In 2017, Psicosis II announced he would be coming back for the 30 Man Ruleta Rusa at Triplemanía XXV. At the event, Psicosis, as part of Los Vipers, was defeated by Team Parka (Argenis, Bengala and La Parka).
Both Psicosis II (and Histeria) left AAA in the summer 2009, dissatisfied with the low number of bookings and consequently the lower pay. The names Psicosis II and Histeria were still used when they began to wrestle on the independent circuit. However, after AAA made threats about legal sanctions, their names were changed to “Psicosis Extreme” and “Histeria Extreme”. They worked together for several promotions, including International Wrestling Revolution Group and the Perros del Mal promotion.

Juan Gonzalez was taught by his father, who fought under the ring name El Puma. He began his career as El Puma, Jr. in the Puebla and Tijuana, Baja California regions. He began his wrestling career in Tijuana, 1994. Rey Misterio, Sr. provided additional training and he also adopted the ring name “Leon Negro”, which is Spanish for “Black Lion”), which is a rudo (bad boy) mid-card character. He travelled to Japan in 1995 and worked as Ultraman-Taro with Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling. He was not related to Gonzalez. Gonzalez lost the Leon Negro mask twice in January 1996. He did this by losing a Lucha de Apuesta Halloween in Tijuana, and again in San Luis Rio Colorado. Sonora. Gonzalez was noticed by Antonio Pena, owner of Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion. He worked in Tijuana. In 1997, he was offered a full-time job with the company.
Gonzalez was initially brought to AAA with the Leon Negro gimmick. He won the hair of Halcon Dorado Jr. and May Flowers at Triplemania V-A, where he was teamed with Heavy Metal. He was later chosen to replace the original Psicosis, who was competing full-time in World Championship Wrestling. Antonio Pena was looking for someone to fill the role of the beloved character in AAA. In mid-1998, he made his debut as Psicosis and sided with Cibernetico, Los Vipers’ leader. He quickly became a core member for Los Vipers. Psicosis and Histeria joined forces with Maniaco, Mosco de la Merded, and participated in a tournament to win the Mexican National Atomicos Championship. Los Vipers won by defeating Los Payasos, Coco Azul and Coco Negro in the finals to claim the Atomicos title. Los Vipers started a feud with Los Vatos Locos over the next months. This group consisted at that time of Charly Manson May Flowers Nygma and Picudo. On February 14, 1999, Los Vatos Locos defeated Los Vipers to win the Atomicos championship. Los Vipers won the title again on September 17, 1999 when they defeated Los Junior Atomicos (Blue Demon Jr., La Parka Jr. Mascara Sagrada Jr. and Perro aguayo Jr.). Three months later, Los Vipers’ second reign was ended by Los Vatos Locos. They defeated Psicosis as well as their partners on the undercard at the 1999 Guerra de Titanes. Los Vipers won the Atomicos title back on April 15, 2000. This effectively ended the storyline with Los Vatos Locos. Los Vipers ruled as Atomicos champions over a period of more than a year until they were shocked by Los Regio Guapos (Hator Monje Negro Jr., Potro Jr.. and Tigre Universitario). Los Regio Guapos held the title for less than two months, before Los Vipers regained it and started their fourth reign with Atomicos. Los Vipers’ fourth reign ended on November 23, 2001 when a new version, Los Vatos Locos, (Espiritu Nygma Nygma Picudo, Silver Cat), defeated them in one the featured matches at the 2001 Guerra des Titanes. After the loss, both Maniaco et Mosco de la Mered started appearing less frequently for AAA. Psicosis defeated Pimpinela Escarlata on August 13, 2002 to win his first singles title. Psicosis’ reign as Middleweight champion was marked by prolonged periods without the title being defended. This lasted almost three years. Psicosis became a tecnico during this period, joining “The Mexican Powers” with Crazy Boy, Juventud Guerrera and Joe Lider. The original Psicosis went back to AAA in 2005 and began a storyline about the rights to the name with Psicosis II. The storyline involved a steel cage match at Triplemania XIII. However, it ended in a draw as Histeria, Psicosis II’s ex- partner interfered with the match and attacked both wrestlers. The feud over Psicosis’ name became a three-way feud among the Original Psicosis and Psicosis II. Psicosis II won the Mexican Middleweight title in a hardcore fight against Histeria on August 3, 2005. The Mexican City Boxing and Wrestling Commission took Psicosis II’s title away following the match. They regulate Mexican National Championships. Histeria won a ladder match and was awarded the right to the Psicosis title. Histeria handed the rights to Antonio Pena who allowed Psicosis II the ring role, making the storyline irrelevant. The Mexican Powers defeated the Black Family (Cuervo Chessman Escoria and Escoria) on October 18, 2006. This was Psicosis II’s fifth reign. Psicosis II reacted against his partners in a title defense and allowed La Secta de Mesias to win the title. Psicosis II joined Histeria, Abismo Negro to reform Los Vipers. This time it was called Viper’s Revolution. When Mr. Niebla joined, both Psicosis II and Histeria supported him and kicked Abismo Negro out of the group. Viper’s Revolucion later became Black Abyss, a clone of Abismo Negro. Triplemania XVI was supposed to settle the feud with Abismo Negro in a cage match. However, it was cancelled in weeks before the event. Mr. Niebla then left AAA. Histeria and Black Abyss became less frequent and not used in long- term stories after Mr. Niebla left AAA Psicosis 2.
On April 12, 2010, a contingent of former AAA wrestlers including Psicosis II, Histeria, Maniaco, El Alebrije, and Cuije appeared on a Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) show in Puebla, Puebla. The group drove into the arena in a black SUV and attacked La Sombra, El Hijo del Fantasma, and La Máscara following a match. Brazo de Plata, Místico, and Jon Strongman tried to help out but were kept away by CMLL rudos Averno, El Texano, Jr., and El Terrible. Following the attack the former AAA wrestlers returned to the SUV and left the arena. The group made several subsequent attacks during CMLL shows, including running in during their Sunday Night Arena México show, indicating that the storyline was not limited to just the Puebla area. After weeks of run-ins the group, dubbed Los Independientes or “The Independents” after the “Independent circuit”, wrestled their first match for CMLL. In their debut for CMLL on April 26, 2010, El Alebrije, Histeria and Psicosis defeated El Hijo del Fantasma, La Mascara, and La Sombra. Since the beginning of the “Los Independientes” storyline neither Psicosis nor Histeria have worked on Perro del Mal events. On May 10, 2010, during a match between Los Independientes and CMLL wrestlers former CMLL and AAA wrestlers Universo 2000 and Máscara Año 2000 ran in to help Los Independientes beat up on their opponents, taking their side in the storyline between independent wrestlers and CMLL. Psicosis was the first wrestler to face a CMLL wrestler in singles competition, when he lost to El Hijo del Fantasma by disqualification. The team was later renamed Los Invasores. During a trios match between El Alebrije, Histeria II, and Maniaco and the team of Héctor Garza, Brazo de Plata, and Toscano, Garza turned on his team mates and joined Los Invasores. On May 16, 2010, Psicosis wrestled against La Sombra in a match that saw the surprise appearance of both Mr. Águila and Rayo de Jalisco, Jr.. Mr. Águila returned to CMLL to side with Los Independientes while Rayo de Jalisco, Jr. ended up siding with CMLL in their war against the outsider group. The following day in Arena Coliseo Olímpico returned to CMLL and attacked Máximo during the main event of the show; at the time it was not clear if he had actually joined the group of outsiders or not. CMLL later held a press conference announcing that they would hold a special Sin Salida event on June 6, 2010, that would center around the Los Invasores vs. CMLL storyline. During the press conference Olímpico was part of the Invasores group. It was also announced that Garza and Mr. Águila were the co-leaders of the group. On August 16, 2010, it was announced that Psicosis was one of 14 men putting their mask on the line in a Luchas de Apuestas steel cage match, the main event of the CMLL 77th Anniversary Show. Psicosis II was the 12th and last man to leave the steel cage, opting to keep his mask safe instead of helping fellow Invasor Olímpico out. The match came down to La Sombra pinning Olímpico to unmask him. On September 20, 2011, Psicosis II, Olímpico, and the new leader of Los Invasores, Volador Jr., defeated Ángel de Oro, Diamante, and Rush to win the Mexican National Trios Championship. They lost the title to Atlantis, Delta, and Guerrero Maya, Jr. on December 16, 2011. Psicosis II, this time teaming with Los Invasores members Kraneo and Mr. Águila, regained the title from Los Reyes de la Atlantida on December 16, 2012. They then lost the title to La Máscara, Rush and Titán on June 30, 2013. In November 2013, Psicosis II was renamed Psyco Ripper. The following month, his ring name was changed to Reapper.
