Anton Amade Abele (born January 10 in 1992) is an Swedish activist, debater , and politician. He was a member of the Swedish Parliament for Stockholm County, replacing former Minister of Culture and Sports Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth since the general election in 2010 until the general election of 2014. At 18 years old Abele is the smallest person ever to be an elected Member of Parliament in Sweden and the youngest member of any legislature in the world.

Abele established a non-profit group named Stoppa Gatuvaldet (Stop Street Violence) which is currently running various projects to combat violence. The principal goal of the organization is to raise awareness of the legal and medical effects of violence, particularly for young people. The group also addresses ethical issues and works towards changing the attitudes of people. This group is political and religiously non-conformist, includes adult and youth as members. The 10th of February in 2008 the group organized a gathering called “Stop Street Violence” bringing more than 1,000 youth as well as adults in Stockholm City Hall.

On October 14, 2010, Abele became the youngest ever Member of the Swedish Parliament when he was chosen from the top of the Moderate Party MP short list after Anna König Jerlmyr vacated her seat to be the deputy mayor of Stockholm. On 25 July 2013 Abele announced that he will finish his term and not run for re-election in the 2014 elections, citing disillusionment with the working climate at the Riksdag.

At the demonstration against street violence in October 2007, Abele gave a speech to over 10,000 people, who had gathered in Stockholm to show their disgust against violence.
