Prince Tagoe is one of the most popular and richest Association Football Player who was born on November 9, 1986 in Accra, Greater Accra Region, Ghana. Prince Tagoe, a Ghanaian professional footballer, was born 9 November 1986. He plays as a striker in Chittagong Abahani.

Tagoe signed a 3-year contract with Bundesliga side 1899 Hoffenheim on 9 June

2009. He was then released on 1 August due to heart problems. Tagoe’s lawyer challenged the dismissal, arguing that a second opinion had not found evidence of a heart condition. Tagoe was forced to resign from Hoffenheim on 20 August after it was revealed that Tagoe’s earlier release had been in violation of FIFA regulations. Tagoe could not play in the Bundesliga at first because his playing license had been revoked after it became clear that the original documentation for his physical exams had been falsified. Deutsche Fussball Liga demanded further medical tests to determine Tagoe’s health. DFL declared that Tagoe’s health was not serious enough to cancel his contract. He could still be able to get his license reinstated, pending the results from the December 2009 final test. The medical exam showed that Tagoe was healthy and did not have a cardiac defect. Tagoe was able to play for his club on the 11th of January 2010.

At international level, Tagoe represented Ghana 36 times and scored seven goals. He was a member of the Black Stars at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Tagoe tried to sign for Mainz 05 in January 2006. However, the transfer was unsuccessful. He ended up moving to Saudi Arabian side Ittihad. Tagoe signed for Al Shabab Al Arabi Club after six months. Midtjylland Maamobi reported Tagoe’s move to FIFA because they believed that the club had loaned him out to Ittihad. Tagoe was able to return to Saudi Arabia and play for Ettifaq after a year of playing for Al Shabab. He also scored 10 league goals. He was a two- year member of Ettifaq and scored eight goals in six matches during the 2009 AFC Champions League.

Tagoe was born in Accra and started his career at the Tudu Mighty Jets. In the lower national league, he made his senior debuts at Midtjylland Maamobi. Tagoe was on loan from Hearts of Oak and became the Ghana Premier League’s top scorer in 2005 with 18 goals.

In late April 2014, Tagoe was unveiled as a new signing of Malaysia Super League side Kelantan FA, penning a six-month contract. In early May 2014, it was said that Tagoe cannot play for Kelantan FA due to the non availability of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and going to be replaced by former Kelantan FA player Obinna Nwaneri who was replaced with him during the April transfer window. However, this was denied by Kelantan FA manager Azman Ibrahim who said that Kelantan FA are still hoping to use him in the Malaysia Super League and believe that the case can be solved and the supporter wish to see the former 2010 FIFA World Cup player to play with Kelantan FA can be fulfilled. On 11 May 2014, the case has been solved and was confirmed by Kelantan FA president Annuar Musa through his Facebook account that Tagoe can play for Kelantan FA on 17 May 2014 against Perak FA.
