Pradip Somasundaran, a Hindi playback singer who was born 26 January 1967, sang approximately 100 songs in Malayalam and Tamil languages. He is also a college chief by profession.
Ravindran, the music director, gave Pradip Somasundaran his first break in 1993 with “Samayam Manoharam”, a song from the film Ezhuthachan. He also worked with Mohan Sitara, Johnson and Ilayaraaja Malayalam. He was introduced by Sandeep Chowta in Telugu films with Bujjigadu, directed by Puri Jagannadh. He sang in Saleem, a Sandeep Chowta musical directed by YVS Chowdary. He also sang the title song “Bhagavane”, which Vidhyadharan composed for Surya TV. He sings Carnatic music and ghazals, as well as being a playback vocalist.
In 2007 he released “Koti Pranam” his first international album as a composer and singer for the Art of Living foundation. In 2011 he released “Mazhanritham” his first musical work in Malayalam as a composer collaborating with other playback singers like Gayatri Asokan, Franco, Shahabaz Aman and actor Manoj K Jayan.
