Accardi was born in Palermo (Sicily) and began his senior career at Marsala, Serie C1. Accardi left Palermo for Franco Sensi in 2000 and played two seasons with its youth teams. Accardi was promoted to Serie A in 2004, even though Maurizio Zampparini bought many players from Venezia.
