He took office as September 2015. Inkinen had conducted the Prague Symphony Orchestra since 2007. Inkinen’s first appearance as a guest conductor with the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrucken Kaiserslautern in 2010 was his first. Inkinen was named the next chief conductor of the orchestra in September 2016.
