Peter Liguori (born January 7 60, 1960) was an American business executive who was most recently in the positions of president and Chief Executive Officer at Tribune Media; he departed the company at the close the month of March. The position was vacated by him these posts in January 2013 as well as a part on the Tribune Media Board of Directors. During his time the company also bought Local TV Holdings, LLC which doubled it’s local TV station group, as well as Gracenote which was merged together with Tribune Media Services to form one of the top service providers of metadata for entertainment.

Liguori is elected to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Paley Center for Media in October of 2014.

Liguori was a member of Yahoo!’s board from 2012 to 2014.

Prior to joining Tribune Liguori joined the company, he was Chief Operating Officer at Discovery Communications. Prior to taking over Discovery at the end of 2009 Liguori held the position of Chairman for Entertainment for Fox and was credited with aiding in helping the channel FX rise in popularity. Prior to his appointment at the end of 2005 Liguori served as president and chief executive officer of the News Corp.’s FX Networks since 1998 in charge of programming and business operations for FX as well as Fox Movie Channel.
