The year 2000 saw Droge starred in the film Almost Famous, as a “Hyatt Singer”, performing “Small Time Blues” with Elaine Summers. As per Director Cameron Crowe on the Director’s Cut Commentary for the film the tiny portion was a tribute to Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris who he had a chance to meet in 1973.
